Hellooooo... everyone? Who I guess is no one yet... In any case I wanted to start bloggin about my hobby and job, food! So I guess a little about myself first huh? My names Max and I've just recently in the last year started cooking for fun. My interest in it spiked after I landed a job as an Apprentice Sushi Chef at a local place and started having fun designing meals there. Id say what really caught me tho is Sushi's ability to also being a visual art (which i'll hopefully be getting to show you some of my stuff!). I've always been somewhat of an artist, I draw all the time, so when I could start to make my sushi pleasing to the eye as well as the taste buds, I was sucked into the bottomless hole that is being a sushi chef.
I suppose my intentions for the blog is hopefully to meet some other people who love cooking and expand my own tastes for food. Foods of all kinds of course, making sushi was really my first step in a culinary art, but I definitely don't want to stay stuck in it (plus I know that what I know of sushi is a REALLY western idea of it). Like I said earlier, i'll start posting some pictures of my own work done and maybe recipes too!
